Celebration of the Eucharist

Holy Name Catholic Church is inviting 2D artists from around the country to participate in a highly reverent display of art featuring the Most Blessed Sacrament, The Eucharist. Catholic artists are highly encouraged to participate, but all artists, regardless of religion, are welcome to submit art.

Artwork can be any representation, realism or abstraction of the Holy Eucharist. The artwork must be respectful, as the Eucharist is the true Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Creativity is a plus!

Our art show will open just days before the Eucharistic Procession reaches Steamboat Springs, in Colorado on June 5-6, 2024.

See the route here.

From our Pacific coast, the western arm of the Pilgrimage will cross the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains on foot. The Junipero Serra Route will be the longest and most challenging branch of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage—covering over 2,200 miles!

The deadline for submission is April 30th, 2024; Artists will be notified of their status via email by Thursday, April 11, 2024. If your work is selected, it must arrive presentation ready (framed and with appropriate installation materials).

All hand delivered work must be received at the Holy Name Catholic Church Office at 504 Oak Street, Steamboat Springs, by 5 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2024).

Opening reception Saturday, June 1st, 2024!! Work must remain on exhibit through Sunday, June 29th. From there, selected artists may must arrange for work to be picked up on Monday, July 1st. Any shipped work will be returned the following week.

Holy Name Catholic Church reserves the right to reject accepted artwork if, upon arrival and viewing of the artwork, the quality of the work does not match the images it was represented by, or if the artist violates the artwork size/weight restrictions.
