Holy Name offers a special preschool Faith Formation program called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS). Classes are held in the preschool upper room known as an Atrium. The experience of CGS is to bring the young child into a quiet prayerful environment and slowly introduce them to God. Short lessons are presented about the life and teachings of Jesus. These lessons along with the materials help the child to think about Jesus and pray to God. 

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program is an international Montessori based program that teaches core Christian beliefs and values. The instructors have had extensive training in this Montessori method of teaching. CGS is a wonderful way to continue introducing young children to God and the Church.

 

Classes for preschool children, ages 3-6 years old, are held on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am to 10:30 am throughout the school year, beginning in October.
